Sony product lineup at Photokina 2010

Sony has a press release on the new product developments that the presentation is at Photokina 2010 issued. Highlights include a firmware update for the NEX series (dealt with in a separate story), a prototype of a new camera, where the latest technology of transparent mirror, accessories for a mount cameras including a Flash and vertical grip and upcoming lenses for both (a) and (e) mounts.

Sony shows the unique creative possibilities of its all-digital imaging line up at the Photokina. highlights at the Sony booth in Hall 5.2 are the latest additions to the range a (pronounced "Alpha") of the interchangeable-lens digital camera Cyber-shot ™ compact cameras, Handycam ® HD camcorders, Bloggie ™ Mobile HD cameras and snap-in s-frame digital photo frames.
A-mount interchangeable lens system digitalcameras
For the first time in Europe, Sony has a new camera with advanced segment (prototype) that uses translucent mirror technology.Aimed at photo enthusiasts and step-up amateurs, the new a-model is based on the powerful creative possibilities of the first transparent mirror cameras from Sony, the a55 a33, and also on display. In contrast to conventional DSLR cameras makes this innovative design with continuous high-speed shooting responses during photos and HD video recording in a compact housing.
Presented, new a-mount system accessories which is currently under development include a Flash and Vertical Grip, plus the standard zoom and telephoto lenses.
E-mount system cameras: 5/NEX-NEX-3
The growing range of E-mount system cameras, lenses and accessories is on display at the Photokina. the compact, beautifully designed NEX-5/NEX-3 are equipped with an APS-c size sensor, which allows photographers DSLR-quality photos and video capture with the creative freedom of interchangeable lenses. are prototypes of seven new E-mount lenses that in 2011 and 2012 will be available at the show.

Available from mid-October, a firmware update adds new functionality to the NEX-5/NEX-3. autofocus operation is now supported using a-mount Sam and SSM EA1 LA with the optional adapter mount lenses.There is also a new custom function that allows the command buttons for frequently used features, plus a new feature for recording movies with Setup aperture.
Cyber-shot ™ digital compact cameras
The Cyber-shot ™ range of digital cameras, the feature-packed W-series, the high-performance h-series and the super-slim version-strong FLIR t-series. Key features include Cyber-shot ™ Full HD AVCHD video, 3D, Sweep Panorama and superior Auto mode for brilliant results in every situation.
Handycam ® HD camcorders
The Handycam ® range of Flash memory and hard disk camcorders Sony brings together expertise in image sensors, digital processing and advanced optical design. the CMOS sensor Exmor R ™ on selected models increases the sensitivity for enhanced image quality with less noise, even in low light. SteadyShot Active Mode features ' 3-way ' shake cancel for more stable image at all zoom settings, even while walking.
Targeted at videographers and enthusiasts, the Handycam ® NEX-VG 10 features an extra large Exmor ™ HD CMOS sensor APS for beautiful images with cinematic effects of the depth-of-field. compatibility with interchangeable lenses can still photographers to make full use of the creative potential of their existing lens collection (a-mount lenses need optional adapter).
BloggieTouch™ Mobile HD snap camera
The latest addition to the family Bloggie ™, the stylish "Touch" Bloggie MHS-TS 20 k has a super high touchscreen, 360 video recording capability and built-in USB arm for easy PC transfers. built-in software simplifies photo and movie clip share through online services such as the recently launched personal space by Sony.
S-frame Digital Photo Frame
The full 2010 line-up of s-frame digital photo frames contains models of 84.cm (7 ") to the window size of 25 (10.9 cm.2 "). flagship models now support for AVCHD video playback with stereo sound. other models are the D830L, a battery-powered portable photo album and F800 that integrates a high-quality color printer.
